    The “Boost Your Business by Going Green” contest invites women-owned small businesses based in Texas to submit innovative ways they’re making a positive impact on the environment.     Winners Receive Energy-Efficient Equipment from HP:
    Three winners will receive $15,000, $10,000 and $5,000 worth of energy-efficient HP technology equipment. Winners will be announced at the 2009 Texas Conference for Women, November 12 in Houston.

One Way to Go Green

Every single one of us has to be mindful of waste. Since I own a skin care company that uses packaging, the easiest thing I can do, and to gently remind my customers to do is to re-purpose all of your containers. This can be used at the grocery store (buy bulk, keep smaller containers on hand) for your cosmetics, (use smaller sizes for airline travel) or keeping small items in your office or garage organized! As a provider of products that utilizes containers, I can help my customer base think of creative uses for all the containers we buy. If we each did what we could..this would make a huge difference in what lands in the landfill!
